Trip to West Edmonton Mall & Battle Lake
September 16 & 17, 2006
Water Park!!!! It was a very long trip up to Edmonton on the 16th of September, but it was worth it! When we got there, we had to wait by the doors of the mall until we got our passes to get into the park. Once we got our tickets we went down stairs and past the gates where we gave them our passes. (If you ever go up there, bring cash! The lockers cost $6.00 each!) When you're done changing you go out to the pool and if you look up there is a whole bunch of twists, swirls and bends of water slide's. When you go to the main pool the front it looks like a beach because it is painted like one and it even had chairs! The water was warm and had giant waves. But the best part was the water slides! There was a millon! It was very confusing to get to the one you want because you go up one set of stairs and they take you to the wrong slide! There also was bungie jumping, tube rafting and these little boat like things you go shooting down a straight drop on a little water park and of course the hot tubs. If I told you all about each slide there, this would be a three page report! So I would advise you to go there yourself and find out for yourself. I think all the 4-H'ers that went had a great time. I know I did.

Galaxy Land! I think we were the only ones who went to Galaxy Land. It was fun and there were allot of rides to choose from. It's nice having the bracelet as the ticket per ride prices are very expensive. Some of the rides were very intense, such as the 100 foot tower. My favorite ride was the yellow roller coaster that goes all around the park. Written By: Amanda G.
Battle Lake! We left West Edmonton Mall and headed to Battle Lake. It was dark out and the windows were a little fogged up, so we couldn't really see anything out the bus windows. When we arrived it was so dark outside, you couldn't even see there was a lake. We all raced to the dorms to pick our rooms. Then after we were settled we went to the main room and played games. I think it was 11:30 when we finally settled down and went to bed.
On Sunday we had a good breakfast and played a few more games. Then we went out for a hike and saw some beautiful scenery. We came back and had a good lunch, then packed up for the long bus ride back home. Written By Amanda G.
